Lost & Found 03:52
Your crimson cap brings you Ugly orange pride You claim to love the red, white, and blue But your heart is black inside There's never gonna be a truce with you I learned my lesson last time 'round They'll always make a lame excuse for you But your soul is in the lost and found You held your nose up high ... But I just held my nose You even believed his crazy lies But, really, I suppose It's not a big surprise That your little mind was blown You were fooled by his disguise: A sheep in the big bad wolf's clothes I'd say you're brainwashed, but I must refrain For that to be, you'd have to have a brain There's never gonna be a truce with you I learned my lesson last time 'round They'll always make a lame excuse for you But your soul is in the lost and found

about

On the heels of his Independent Music Award nomination for Best Indie/Alt Rock Album (MAYBE, 2018), John's follow-up is the cracking single "Lost & Found," a dynamic, high-energy power-pop roller coaster with a perfect mix of crunchy guitars, upbeat hooks, low-key grooves, and meaningful lyrics. Pre-release listens had several radio show hosts exclaiming it may just be The Stan Laurels' best song yet! Before its release, "Lost & Found" hit #2 on the Radio Indie Alliance global top 40 chart, with #1 in sight!

"Lost in Found" is significant in that there have historically been 5 years or so between Laurels releases of any kind, not to mention the fact that it's the first single release since 2007's "If I Walked with the Dead." This song being out just a year after MAYBE makes this a bit of a special event ... so celebrate by listening (LOUD) and sharing!

about

The Stan Laurels Austin

The Beatles, Breeders, Zombies, Kinks, Cars, and Debussy make up just some of the layers of the Warhol-esque sonic power-pop art painting that is The Stan Laurels, the musical creation of earthling Sound Scientist John Lathrop of Austin, TX, USA.
